Pumps and Pumping Hydraulics

This one-day workshop is aimed at those responsible for municipal pumping facilities or engaged in the maintenance and repair of pumps and their associated controls. A review of the primary components of the pumping station from the electrical supply to the pump outlet is presented. Participants will work interactively to analyze pumping hydraulics under both static and dynamic conditions. Pump performance such as break horsepower and wire -to-water efficiencies and the effects of variable speed drivers will be covered.
